World saw how India guards its sovereignty: PM Modi lauds soldiers who fought in Ladakh
In his Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday lauded soldiers who are guarding the Indian borders and said that the Army has given befitting reply to those who dared challenge India's sovereignty.
Addressing the nation on the 74th Independence Day, PM Modi said, “Protecting India’s sovereignty is of prime importance to us. What we can do and our soldiers can do to protect this sovereignty, the world has seen with the events in Ladakh.”
PM Modi also said, “From LoC to LAC, whoever dared to challenge the sovereignty of India, they were met with a befitting reply in the same language.”
Talking about the neighbours of India, PM Modi also said that neighbours are not just those who we share our land borders with, but also those with who we share our ideals and thinking.
PM Modi also said, "In UN Security Council, 184 countries supported our claim in the UN. This only happens when the country is strong and self-reliant and it shows the effect of our international relations."
"our extended neighbourhood policy has also helped us, especially our relationship with the west Asian countries," said PM Modi.
