WHAT WOULD REMAIN OPEN DURING A LOCKDOWN???
The government on Sunday announced that 75 districts across the country would be put under a lockdown, an unprecedented move aimed at stopping the spread of novel coronavirus. The Centre identified 75 districts across the country that have reported Covid-19 cases and asked state governments to put them under a lockdown.
Following up on the advisory, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday announced lockdown in 15 districts of the state amid the increasing number of confirmed coronavirus cases across India. The lockdown in 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh will be effective from Monday (March 23) and continue till Wednesday (March 25).
The districts that have been put under a lockdown include Agra, Lucknow, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Varanasi, Lakhimpur Khiri, Bareilly, Azamgarh, Kanpur, Meerut, Prayagraj, Aligarh, Gorakhpur, and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, too, announced a complete lockdown in the city, starting from 6 am on Monday. The lockdown will remain effective till March 31.

The total number confirmed coronavirus cases in India climbed to 426 after fresh cases were reported from Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala and other states. The death toll in the country is at seven after one more person died due to Covid-19 in Surat, Gujarat.
