What if it was Shweta or Abhishek: Kangana Ranaut asks Jaya Bachchan after attack on gutter remark

After Rajya Sabha MP and veteran actor Jaya Bachchan took on Kangana Ranaut and MP Ravi Kishan’s remarks on Bollywood, now Kangana has hit back at her saying would she say the same things if it was her daughter Shweta Bachchan or son Abhishek Bachchan who was affected. In a tweet, Kangana Ranaut said on Tuesday, “Jaya ji would you say the same thing if in my place it was your daughter Shweta beaten, drugged and molested as a teenage, would you say the same thing if Abhieshek complained about bullying and harassment constantly and found hanging one day? Show compassion for us also Folded hands (sic)”.

This comes after Jaya Bachchan moved a Zero Hour notice in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday to raise the issue of a conspiracy to “defame the film industry”. Jaya Bachchan, in a strongly-worded statement in the Rajya Sabha, also attacked actor and BJP MP Ravi Kishan who discussed the “drug menace in Bollywood” in Lok Sabha on Monday. She also hit out at Kangana Ranaut without naming her and said it was a shame that people who earned their living from the industry are now calling it a “gutter”.
