Vishal confirms taking over Thupparivaalan 2, opens up about his fallout with Mysskin
Vishal joined hands with director Mysskin for Thupparivaalan, which released in 2017 and received positive responses. Two years later, the duo announced a sequel to Thupparivaalan. Apart from acting, Vishal is also producing the film under his home banner, Vishal Film Factory.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that Vishal and Mysskin had a major fallout which led to the filmmaker walking out of the film. Taking to Twitter, Vishal shared a press statement and announced that he will be taking over the film as its director. He also spilled the beans about how Mysskin overspent money on the film.
In the press statement, Vishal stated that Mysskin had spent Rs 13 crore on the film and Rs 35 lakh extra on the film. The actor also accused the filmmaker of starting the film's shoot without proper planning in London.
According to the press release, Mysskin would spend Rs 15 lakh every day for three to fours of shoot. Even when Vishal requested to shoot two scenes a day, the Pisaasu director failed to co-operate with him.
The sole purpose of the statement is not to tarnish one's image but is only to make sure that nobody falls prey to such people especially Producers— Vishal (@VishalKOfficial) March 11, 2020
