Thalapathy Vijay's 65th film with AR Murugadoss is likely to go on floors in February 2021. The film was supposed to go on floors in summer 2020. However, the production got delayed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Even before the release of Vijay's 64th film, Master, reports about his upcoming project are already doing rounds on the internet. While AR Murugadoss will be directing the film, SS Thaman has been roped in to compose music for it.
According to the latest reports, Murugadoss and Vijay have decided to shoot for the film in February, next year, once things get back to normal. An official announcement regarding the project is likely to be made during the Pongal festival. Sun Pictures, which has earlier produced Vijay's Sarkar, will bankroll the film.
AR Murugadoss is currently working on the pre-production of the film, which is touted to be an action entertainer. Last month, there were reports that Kajal Aggarwal and Tamanaah Bhatia, who had earlier worked with Thalapathy Vijay, will be teaming up for this project as well. However, nothing has been finalized yet.
Vijay and Murugadoss's last three collaborations - Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar - have been major box-office hits. Therefore, the news of the duo reuniting is a happy one, especially for the fans.
Meanwhile, Murugadoss is also producing a web series that will feature Vani Bhojan of Oh My Kadavulae fame in the lead role. On the other hand, Vijay is waiting for the release of his much-anticipated film, Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
