Truth cannot be defeated: Sachin Pilot breaks silence after Cong sacks him from posts
Rebel leader Sachin Pilot, who was sacked as Rajasthan deputy chief minister and state chief by the Congress party, said that truth cannot be defeated.
In a short tweet, Pilot said, “Truth can be disturbed, not defeated.” Pilot’s strong message came moments after Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala announced the party’s decision to sack him.
Two other state cabinet ministers, Vishvendra Singh, and Ramesh Meena were also sacked from their posts.
“I regret that Sachin Pilot and some of his associates have been swayed by the BJP's plot and are now conspiring to topple the Congress govt elected by 8 crore Rajasthanis. It is unacceptable,” the Congress spokesperson said.
Pilot’s sacking came after a meeting of the Congress Legislative Party. A resolution was passed to sack Sachin Pilot as the Rajasthan Congress president and authorization was given to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot for sacking his deputy.
Gehlot, however, did not address the media after the decision was taken by Congress to sack Pilot and two of his loyalists. The chief minister headed straight to Governor Kalraj Mishra to inform him about the reshuffling of the state cabinet.
Soon after Pilot was removed, the Congress appointed Govind Singh Dotasra as Rajasthan PCC Chief.
