Tollywood director Sanjana Reddy hospitalised, on ventilator

Filmmaker Sanjana Reddy, who made her directorial debut in Telugu cinema with Raju Gadu was hospitalised, after she complained of breathlessness and high fever.

The director has been admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad where she has been put on a ventilator. According to multiple reports, she fainted at her residence due to high fever and was later rushed to a nearby hospital.

Sources say that a specialist neuro physician is attending her to diagnose the problem. Her fans are praying for her to recover soon.

Sanjana Reddy is currently working on the biopic of Karnam Malleswari, the first Indian woman medalist at the Olympics. The film is bankrolled by popular Telugu producer Kona Venkat and pre-production works are going on at full swing.

When IndiaToday.in contacted Kona Venkat, the producer of her upcoming film, he said, "It's true that Sanjana Reddy has been admitted to a hospital due to health issues. However, she is recovering now and nothing to worry about. She is not critical as rumours suggest. She will get discharged soon."

Sanjana Reddy assisted Ram Gopal Varma in Rowdy before making her debut as a director. Her first, Raju Gadu, garnered decent response from both audience as well as the critics. The film had Raj Tarun and Amyra Dastur in the lead roles.
