The White Tiger : Driver Balram’s Ride from Rags to Riches
The White Tiger a story of poor Indian servant Balram Halwai (Adarsh Gourav) who buries his past and moves forward to become a successful entrepreneur. Director Ramin Bahrani just showcased two parts of India one which is posh and lit another gets darker by each passing day.
The White Tiger takes us on a life ride of Balram Halwai , Despite being a Bright student ,a passionate reader,Balram had to leave his schooling in pressure of family debts.
Story shows how India is divided by caste,Religion and poverty etc.but in a more diplomatic way.
Balram Halwai struggles in village from childhood to earn money for his family manages to escape from village after knowing that his village landlord’s America returned Son Ashok (Rajkumar Rao) was in need of skilled driver.Therecomes new kickstart to Balram’s life.
Village boy Balram however tried hard to be a loyal, hardworking servant , a perfect slave to his owners.But one night incident changed everything upside down when Balram comes to know his owners are plotting his sacrifice to save themselves were Village boy Balram changes into a rival.
Balram comes to know that his life is been trapped like chicken trapped in chicken coop either he has to break the coop and escape orelse left helpless for lifetime.His willingness to sacrifice his past and family,he summoned up the courage to break free from the coop to become white tiger.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Rajkumar Rao both were excellent in their roles who were the voice for class and caste equality in the film.
As we all know one decides of being good or bad it is all options which life presents before us. Ashok (Rajkumar Rao) inspite of being born in light chose to corrupted person by his family influence.Balram Halwai Despite of born in grey flied as a phoenix and changed his willingness into opportunities.
Screenplay was bravo well scripted by Ramin Bahrani which has a total story listening effect among audience whick took them on thriller ride what is next.
The movie showcased a dark secular India which is diversified by caste ,religion and poverty.
