Trinamool Workers thrashed BJP Leader and thrown in ditch

On Monday Bengal BJP vice president and party’s candidate for the Karimpur assembly by-poll Jay Prakash Majumdar kicked and thrown into a ditch allegedly by a group of Trinamool Congress activists during the polling.

According to the sources, Trinamool Congress activists can be seen dragging Jay Prakash Majumdar and then kicking him off the road after he came out of his car.

The incident took place on Monday when voting for the Karimpur assembly by-election was on and Jay Prakash Majumdar was trying to enter a polling booth.

Majumdar later held Trinamool "goons" responsible for the act and said, wounds will heal but the incident is a "clear" sign of the "end of democracy" in West Bengal.

The BJP leader further alleged that the TMC activists were false voters who had assembled in the area with the intention of rigging polls.

"But it will not demoralize me and I will continue to visit all the booths. I have complained to the Election Commission," Majumdar, the vice president of the state unit of the BJP, said.
