Taj Mahal Palace, Hotel Colaba, Taj Lands End receive threat call from Pakistan; security beefed up
The Taj Mahal Palace hotel in Colaba and Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra in Mumbai city of Maharashtra received terror attack calls from Pakistan on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. The caller, who identified himself as a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit, threatened to blow-up the two hotels in Mumbai.
The first call received at around 12:30 am by the Taj Mahal palace staffers. The call was from a Pakistani number. The caller identified himself as a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba and said that the hotel would be attacked by their members. He said the Taj Mahal Palace and Taj Lands End hotels would be blown up as it happened in November 2008.
