Sutapa Sikdar remembers husband Irrfan in an emotional note: Milenge baat karenge, till we meet again

Bollywood and Hollywood actor Irrfan breathed his last on April 29, leaving his family, friends and millions of fans in grief. The actor’s sudden demise sent shock waves throughout the nation and tributes started pouring in from different parts of the world.

Irrfan is survived by his wife, Sutapa Sikdar and two sons, Babil and Ayaan.

Remembering her late husband, a month after his death, Sikdar on Friday shared an emotional note along with two photos. In one picture, Irrfan can be seen lying on the grass alone and in the second pic, he poses along with his wife. Sikdar began her note by quoting Rumi and then wrote that “it is just a matter of time” till the two lovers meet again.

“‘Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about.’ It's just a matter of time...milenge baaten karenge.... Till we meet again," she wrote.

Irrfan and Sutapa recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in February this year. The two met as classmates in National School of Drama (NSD).

After her husband’s death, Sikdar had shared a statement on behalf of the family, thanking the late actor’s fans and doctors for their support.
