Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Meetu's statement recorded by Bihar Police
Sushant Singh Rajput's sister, Meetu Singh's statement was recorded by the Patna police team at a private residence in Versova, Mumbai. As per sources, the Patna police team officials met Meetu after she left from Mumbai crime office. Yesterday (July 28), an FIR was registered against Rhea Chakraborty at Rajiv Nagar Police Station in Patna.
The FIR was registered after Sushant Singh Rajput’s father, KK Singh, filed a complaint alleging that Rhea took money from Sushant and instigated him to commit suicide. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on the morning of June 14, leaving the entire nation in shock.
The Mumbai Police, on June 14, had registered an accidental death report (ADR) under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Since the Mumbai Police had registered an ADR, there was no formal complaint in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death until the late actor’s father registered the FIR in Patna. Sushant's father, however, had not registered a complaint to the Mumbai Police when he was questioned by them in June. He had said that he has nothing against anyone.
Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant Singh Rajput dated for a while and were in a live-in relationship.
In the FIR filed in Patna, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father accused Rhea of betraying Sushant and completely cutting him off from his family. A case had been registered under Sections 341 (Wrongful Restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 380 (theft), 406 (breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 306 (abetment to suicide) of the IPC.
A four-member team of Patna police reached Mumbai on Tuesday to help in the investigation.
