Sushant Singh Rajput suicide: Talent manager Reshma Shetty’s statement recorded
Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on the morning of June 14. Investigation to find out the reason behind the actor’s suicide is underway. On Friday (July 10), the Mumbai police questioned one of Bollywood’s top talent managers, Reshma Shetty. As per sources, she was questioned for over four to five hours. The details of her statement are yet to be known.
Shetty, who has worked with several Bollywood A listers including Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Alia Bhatt among others, is also responsible for major endorsements being bagged by the actors she handled.
Reshma Shetty, the head honcho of Bollywood's leading talent management company Matrix, was the brain child behind Salman Khan’s Being Human Campaign. She also helped Salman bag various multi-crore deals like the reality TV show Bigg Boss and many films.
However, in 2018, the two parted ways. Since then, Shetty has been taking care of Akshay Kumar's work. Apart from him, she also handles Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt and many other leading stars from the film fraternity.
Police have till date recorded statements of over 35 people in connection to Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide. The people who have been questioned include family members of the late actor, friends, co-workers, and people who he worked for in the industry.
Other than them, a few journalists working for Bollywood portals have been questioned and the cops sought information on the sources through whom the stories had come in. According to the late actor’s friends, some stories being circulated about him had a negative effect on him and the actor was seemingly upset after reading them. Statements also revealed that Rajput would often feel that someone was trying to target him and destroy his image and career.
