Sushant Singh Rajput death case: Rhea Chakraborty moves Supreme Court seeking transfer of investigation to Mumbai

Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh filed a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna. He accused Rhea of cheating and threatening Sushant, which led him to commit suicide. Now, Rhea has moved Supreme Court to seek transfer of the investigation to Mumbai. Sushant died by suicide on June 14.

Rhea's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde has filed a petition in Supreme Court for transfer of investigation to Mumbai where investigations in connection with the actor's death are already underway.

The FIR filed in Patna is the first FIR in Sushant's death case. The Mumbai Police had registered an accidental death report (ADR) on June 14, at the time of the actor's death. The ADR was filed under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code. No formal complaint was registered in connection with Sushant's death until the late actor’s father KK Singh registered the FIR in Patna.

Sushant and Rhea were in a relationship before the actor died by suicide on June 14. Sushant's father has accused Rhea of taking a huge chunk of money from the late actor and threatening him to reveal his medical reports to the media. Singh has also accused Rhea of keeping Sushant away from his family.
