SS Rajamouli and family test coronavirus positive: Mahesh Babu and Tollywood stars send wishes

After filmmaker SS Rajamouli and his family tested positive for the novel coronavirus, Mahesh Babu and several other Tollywood celebrities took to Twitter to convey their wishes for their speedy recovery. On July 29, the Baahubali director took to Twitter to share the news with the world and revealed that they are home-quarantined as per their doctor's advice. Further, he added that they are asymptomatic and are hopeful of donating their plasma. As soon as he tweeted the news, Mahesh Babu took to the micro-blogging site to wish his entire family a speedy recovery. He wrote, "Take care, sir... Wishing you and your family a speedy recovery!! (sic)."

Raashi Khanna, Sushanth, Payal Ghosh, Jagapathi Babu and Rahul Dev are some of the celebrities from the Telugu film industry to send wishes to SS Rajamouli and his family members.

SS Rajamouli revealed that he and his family members had developed a slight fever a few days ago. After the fever subsided by itself, the entire family decided to get tested for Covid-19. Their results turned out to be positive and they have been home-quarantined since then. The filmmaker also added that none of them are showing any symptoms as of now. Rajamouli signed off saying that they will donate their plasma once they recover from the novel coronavirus. Rajamouli said that the entire family is following all safety precautions as suggested by the government. On the work front, Rajamouli was keen on resuming the shoot of his upcoming film, RRR.

However, it looks like the makers will have to wait for a while till the director gets better and finds a way to conduct the shoot with minimal crew. Earlier, Rajamouli was supposed to conduct the trial shoot for RRR. He had cancelled the trial shoot due to an increase in the number of positive coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. RRR is a fictional tale of two Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR respectively. The big-budget period film is slated to hit the theatres on January 8, 2021.
