SP Balasubrahmanyam health update: Singer tests coronavirus negative, still on ventilator
Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam has tested negative for the novel coronavirus, said his son SP Charan in a new video. He further added that SPB's lungs are healing and the doctors are hoping to take him off the ventilator soon. Charan also revealed that SPB is fully awake and responsive. He has been keeping himself occupied by watching a lot of tennis and cricket matches on his iPad.
Charan also said that they celebrated his dad and mom Savitri's wedding anniversary at the hospital. SP Balasubrahmanyam is conveying his thoughts to the nurses and doctors by writing on a piece of paper.
In an earlier health update video, SP Charan said that they are hoping for good news. The doctors had said that they had hoped to take him off the ventilator. Unfortunately, SP Balasubrahmanyam is still on the path to recovery and hence they couldn't remove the ventilator.
SP Balasubrahmanyam is taking part in physiotherapy and is off sedation. As reported earlier, SPB will recover slowly and has a long way to go. In the latest video, Charan said that SP Balasubrahmanyam is waiting to catch IPL (Indian Premier League) matches on his tablet.
SP Balasubrahmanyam tested positive for the novel coronavirus and got admitted to MGM Healthcare on August 5. His condition worsened and he was deemed critical by the doctors on August 13. He has been on a ventilator ever since.
