Sivakarthikeyan in talks for Pawan Kalyan's upcoming period drama
Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan's 27th film with director Krish Jagarlamudi was launched in January in Hyderabad in a low-key affair.
According to the latest reports, popular Kollywood actor Sivakarthikeyan has been approached to play an important role in the film. Touted to be a period drama set in the pre-independence era, the film will feature actors from multiple industries, including Bollywood.
Sources say that Krish narrated the script to Sivakarthikeyan last month and the latter expressed interest in the project. His character will have grey shades and an official announcement is expected post lockdown.
Bankrolled by AR Rathnam, the film marks the maiden collaboration of Krish Jagarlamudi and Pawan Kalyan. MM Keeravani has reportedly been roped in to compose music for this flick.
It is worth mentioning that Sivakarthikeyan made a cameo appearance in Kousalya Krishnamurthy, the Telugu remake of his hit Tamil film Kanaa. If his film with Pawan Kalyan falls in place, then it will be the actor's second outing in Tollywood.
A few weeks ago, there were speculations that Sivakarthikeyan will also be a part of SS Rajamouli's much-awaited film, RRR, which features Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. However, there is no confirmation from the makers yet.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan is currently working on his 26th film, Vakeel Saab, the Telugu remake of hit Bollywood film Pink. The film, which went on floors on January 20 in Hyderabad, will feature Nivetha Thomas, Ananya Nagalla, Prakash Raj and Anjali in important roles.
