SA Bobde sworn in as 47th Chief Justice of India , Suceeds Ranjan Gogoi
On Monday the supreme court Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde was sworn in as the 47th Chief Justice of India by President Ramnath Kovind.
Chief Justice SA Bobde ,63 suceeds Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi will serve as the leader of Judiciary till April 23,2021.
According to reports Justices NV Ramana, UU Lalit and DY Chandrachud are next in line.
Chief Justice Bobde was one among the benches who decided the Ayodhya land dispute case in 2019 ,and also one the who declared that no Indian citizen without an Aadhar Card could be denied government services.
He was born in Nagpur ,Maharashtra and is the son of Arvind Shriniwas Bobde an eminent senior advoctae.
CJI Bobde had earned law degree from Nagpur University and was enrolled on the Bar Council of Mahrashtra in 1978. He was designated as a senior advocate in 1998.
