Rupee opens higher at 74.43 per dollar
The Indian rupee opened higher by 17 paise at 74.43 per dollar on Tuesday against Friday's close of 74.60, amid buying seen in the domestic equity market.
On November 13 the rupee ended marginally higher at 74.60 from its Thursday's closing of 74.65.
The currency market was shut on November 16 on account of Diwali Balipratipada.
At 10:10 IST, the Sensex was up 309.64 points or 0.71% at 43947.62, and the Nifty was up 85.20 points or 0.67% at 12865.50.
