Priyanka, who met leaders of the Valmiki community and expressed her solidarity, was accompanied by Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) chief Anil Chaudhary. Party leaders Rajiv Shukla, Pramod Tiwari, and PL Punia were also present.

On Thursday, Priyanka and former Congress president Rahul Gandhi were denied permission to visit the girl's family in Hathras. After their convoy was halted on Yamuna Expressway, the Congress leaders decided to cover a distance of more than 100 km to Hathras on foot.
