Prakash Javadekar takes electric car to Parliament asks public to join fight against pollution
On Monday Union Minister Prakash Javadekar took an electric car to Parliament as it convened for its winter session.
According to the sources ,Javadekar who handles the environment portfolio was gradually switching to pollution free electric cars.
However Prakash Javadekar asked the public to contribute to the fight against pollution by using electric vehicles and public transport.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Mansukh Mandviya rode a bicycle to Parliament.
Severe air pollution in Delhi and many parts of northern India is an annual affair.
Delhi was blanketed in a thick smog for four consecutive days till Friday, as unfavourable weather hampered the dispersion of pollutants.
Top officials, including MPs, skipped a meeting called on Friday by a parliamentary panel to find solutions.
