Pooja Bhatt: If it wasn’t for Sanjay Dutt's belief and conviction, Sadak 2 would never have happened

Pooja Bhatt took to social media on Wednesday to express her gratitude towards Sanjay Dutt, who turned 61 yesterday. The two actors shared screen space in 1991 film Sadak and will be seen working together in its sequel, Sadak 2, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. Pooja posted a photo of herself with the birthday boy and penned a long note for him. Sharing their photo, Pooja Bhatt wrote, "Before I call it a night I have to not only wish, but thank the man who made #Sadak2 happen in the first place - Sanjay Dutt. If it wasn’t for his belief & absolute conviction that #Sadak had to have a sequel it would never have happened. And it was only him that could convince my father to direct again (sic)." She added, "So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sanju! And thank you for setting us all off on this life changing journey.. one that continues to enrich me and keeps me working, growing & learning even through a pandemic..one that will keep the home and heart fires burning for decades to come. Gratitude, gratitude, more gratitude! (sic)."

Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, Sadak 2 is the sequel to Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt's hit 1991 film of the same name. While the film features Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles, Pooja and Sanjay will also be seen in pivotal roles. It also stars Gulshan Grover and Makarand Deshpande.
