On Tuesday, the Locust Warning Organisation (LWO) issued an alert saying that a swarm of locusts from Rajasthan had moved and could enter Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat. At least five states in India are currently facing the grave threat of wide-scale crop destruction due to an unusual locust attack.

In order to prevent this attack by the locusts, many farmers took to their fields to bang plates and play loud music. Amid this, an innovative solution is going viral online. People installed a large DJ setup with loudspeakers in the middle of the field to fight locust invasion.

A senior police officer from Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Srivastav shared the 30-second clip on Twitter. In the clip, a vehicle fitted with loudspeakers can be seen blaring loud music right in the middle of the farm. According to the official, this was done to deal with the attack by locusts.

The police official posted the video with the caption, "The DJ is effective not only for dancing and partying but also for warding off attacks by locust swarms. Days change! You can make sounds or even beat the plates. #DiscJockey #Locustswarm #locustswarms #Locusts #Locustsattack #LocustInvasion #LocustSwarmsAttack."
