Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury congratulates Arvind Kejriwal

As Congress looked on the path to draw a blank yet again in the 2020 Delhi election results, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has said there is nothing in Delhi for the party.

As the early trends showed a lead for AAP, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said on Tuesday, "Development agenda has won and I congratulate Kejriwal. Delhi polls have become bipolar and there was nothing for Congress in this election."

Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday appeared to be heading back to power for a second term in Delhi with the party leading in over 50 seats of the 70 and the BJP ahead in 18 as votes for the assembly elections were counted.

Congress, like the 2015 elections, has managed to secure no seats at all. It has no leads or wins in any of the seats.

The contest for political power over the national capital was a bipolar one with the Congress nowhere in the reckoning.

AAP supremo and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was leading in the New Delhi seat while his deputy Manish Sisodia from Patparganj seat was trailing.

The AAP had won a staggering 67 of the 70 seats in the 2015 Delhi assembly elections, giving Arvind Kejriwal a thumping majority. BJP had managed to win only 3 seats and this time it is leading in around 15 seats, gaining over 12 seats since the last elections.

BJP, however, was confident of winning over 48 seats and forming the government, which looks like an improbability at this point.
