The winners of the 66th National Film Awards have been announced. While normally, the recipients of the National Film Awards are announced in April and the presentation takes place on May 3 every year, it was delayed this time owing to the Lok Sabha polls.

The awards were announced today with Vicky Kaushal’s Uri bagging four awards

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy teaser hits out today

The much-anticipated teaser of Chiranjeevi’s upcoming period film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy was launched in a grand event in Mumbai. Within seconds, the promo has gone viral on all social media platforms.

Chiranjeevi is playing the role of the freedom fighter Uyyalwada Narasimha Reddy in the film, which also stars leading celebs of all the major film industries in India.

Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan is playing the guru of Narasimha Reddy in the film while K-Town star Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as a Tamil king. Sudeep of Naan E fame is also playing a key role in the movie.

Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapati Babu are other actors, who are part of this ambitious venture, which is set to release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

After Saaho, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is the biggest project of Tollywood in 2019. Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan has produced the movie.

Surender Reddy, who is known for his films Kick and Race Gurram, has directed the biopic.

It was recently announced that Superstar Rajinikanth and Malayalam star Mohanlal will be the narrators in the Tamil and Malayalam versions of the film respectively.

Shahrukh Khan to Star in Netflix web series as an Intelligence officer

On Monday Netflix released a new teaser starring Shahrukh Khan. The teaser showed Shahrukh khan having a conversation over the phone about the role of an interrogator.

Shahrukh Khan says over the phone that he is such a good actor that he can do any role but is shocked when gets to know that it’s not for a film but for an intelligence agency recruitment.

Netflix captioned the teaser, “This is probably the most challenging role SRK is ever going to play.”

However, looks like SRK was talking about his role as a producer of Netflix’s upcoming series Bard of Blood. The series starring Emraan Hashmi in the lead will premiere on its platform on September 27. The seven-episode show is based on Bilal Siddiqi’s bestselling book of the same name.

The official logline of the show reads, “The story is about four Indian intelligence officers belonging to the Indian Intelligence Wing (IIW) who are compromised before they can relay an important piece of information to India. They get captured and are about to be decapitated. The stakes are high.”
