Milind Soman booked in Goa for running nude on beach
After Poonam Pandey, a case has been registered against Milind Soman under IPC Section 294 (Obscene acts and songs) and 67 (Punishment for publishing/transmitting obscene material in electronic form) of IT Act (Information Technology Act). According to ANI, the actor and fitness enthusiast was booked for his social media post where he was seen running naked on the beach. The South Goa district police booked the actor on Thursday for running nude on the beach and promoting obscenity by circulating his picture on social media. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police, South Goa told ANI that a case has been registered at Colva Police Station under Section 294 IPC and 67 IT Act against Soman. He said, "An organisation called Suraksha Manch had given a complaint against Soman for running nude on a beach in South Goa and then circulating those pictures on social media." On his 55th birthday, Milind Soman had taken to his social media accounts to share a picture of himself running naked on the beach. The picture was clicked by his wife Ankita Konwar. He had captioned the picture, "Happy birthday to me! (sic)." Milind and Ankita had gone to Goa to celebrate the actor's birthday.
Meanwhile, Poonam Pandey and her husband Sam Bombay were detained by the Goa Police on Thursday for allegedly trespassing into a government property and shooting an obscene video at the Chapoli Dam. After Milind’s post went viral and was praised by netizens, many had pointed out the hypocrisy. Later, the couple was granted a bail. Poonam and Sam were out on a bail bond of Rs 20,000 each, according to The Times Of India.
