Mammootty turns photographer in lockdown, shares stills of birds
Mammootty has always spoken about his interest in photography in the past. During the coronavirus lockdown, the Mamangam actor decided to hone his skills and took out his camera to click photos of the birds he spotted at his home and in his neighborhood. In his Instagram post, Mammootty revealed that photography is his old hobby. Sharing photos of three different birds, the actor wrote, "Morning guests! #myphotography #oldhobbies #stayinghome #stayingsafe (sic)."
Mammootty used a tripod and telephoto lens to spot the birds in and around his courtyard. Actors Anupama Parameswaran, Sarayu Mohan, and Manikanda Rajan commented on his pictures with heart emojis. The actor's photos have received over 350,000 likes on Instagram and are going viral on social media. Apart from being a photographer, Mammootty is also a car enthusiast and owns 369 cars.
On the work front, Mammootty was last seen in director Ajai Vasudev's Shylock, which became a blockbuster venture. The action thriller, which released on January 23, 2020, received positive feedback from the critics and audience alike.
He will be next seen in the political-thriller One, in which, he will be playing the role of Kerala Chief Minister Kadakkal Chandran. Mammootty was shooting for his upcoming film, The Priest, ahead of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The team had to halt the film's shoot because of the nationwide lockdown.
