Madonna Sebastian to play female lead in Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film with AR Murugadoss
Even before the release of Thalapathy Vijay's 64th film, Master, reports about the cast and crew of his 65th film are already doing rounds on the internet. Acclaimed-filmmaker AR Murugadoss will be directing Vijay's upcoming film, which is likely to be bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
The latest buzz in the industry is that actress Madonna Sebastian, who was last seen in Mani Ratnam's production venture, Vaanam Kottatum, has been roped in to play the female lead.
Sources say that Murugadoss discussed about the project to Madonna over a video call and the latter was quite impressed with the script. There will be two heroines in the film and Madonna has been finalised for one the roles. An official announcement regarding the project is likely to be made on Vijay's birthday, which falls on June 22.
A few days ago, there were also reports that composer S Thaman, who is basking in the success of his latest Telugu films - Ala Vaikunthapurramloo and Disco Raja, is all set to score tunes for the film. If this happens, then it will be Thaman's first film with Vijay.
The shoot is likely to begin in August.
Vijay and Murugadoss's last three collaborations - Thuppakki, Kaththi, and Sarkar - have been major box office hits. Speculations were rife that their upcoming film will be a sequel to 2012 blockbuster film, Thuppakki. However, cinematographer Santosh Shivan recently took to Twitter to clarify it as rumours.
Meanwhile, Vijay is currently awaiting the release of his much-anticipated film, Master. He will be playing the role of a college professor in the film.
