Karan Patel gets tested for coronavirus: Luckily I haven't been shooting for 3 days
Parth Samthaan was detected coronavirus-positive on Sunday (July 12). The actor informed about this on social media and asked everyone, who has been in close proximity over the last few days to get themselves tested. This left Karan Patel fans worried, as recently, the actor joined Kasauii Zindagii Kay as Mr Bajaj, and had started shooting. However, the fans need not worry, as the actor had not been shooting for the last three days.
In an exclusive chat with India Today Television, Karan said, "Luckily, I have not been going for the shoot for the past three days. And I haven't even come in contact with Parth since the shoot has started."
However, Karan took the coronavirus test. The actor's publicist issued a statement on behalf of Karan Patel, which read, "Karan has not been shooting since the last few days but because he is a responsible citizen and feels safety comes first, he is getting a swab test done on personal accord, for the safety of all around him. This is a precautionary measure he is taking to provide peace to all who are concerned for his safety and his immediate family members towards whom he is responsible. Please be rest assured he is fine and there is nothing to worry about. Please do not panic this too shall pass (sic)."
Talking about Parth, Karan said, "Parth is young and fit. I hope he recovers soon and takes care of himself."
Karan feels, as actors they have to be more cautious while shooting. "If we have to shoot in this situation then we will have to be extra cautious because everyone has families, kids and we need to take care of them. We'll have to extra careful during shoots."
After Parth was detected coronavirus-positive, the cast and crew of Kasautii Zindagii Kay present at studio Click Nickson, took the swab test for the novel coronavirus. The studio has been sealed and shooting of other shows, including Pavitra Bhagya, Naagin, Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya, which were shot in the same studio have also been stopped.
