Netizens were left amazed and spooked at the same time after Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda shared a rather peculiar video on Twitter. Explaining the footage that he shared, the IFS officer captioned the clip, "Walking orchids. These are insects known as Orchid Mantis. Seen in western ghats of India. Incredible Nature..(sic)."

The clip that Nanda tweeted showed an insect sitting on top of a plant. However, what amazed netizens was the fact that the insect resembled the flower, orchid. In the 10-second-long video, the insect can be seen moving on a leaf. According to Nanda, the insect is called an orchid mantis and is found in the Western Ghats of India. Many were surprised at the fact that such an insect even existed. After being shared, the clip instantly went viral and managed to garner over 12.4k views and more than 1.9k likes. Many took to the comments section to show their genuine amazement after seeing such an insect. They left comments like "Never saw these types of insects (sic)," and "Beautiful (sic)." Another user commented, "Evolution at its best (sic)."
