IPL 2020: Virat Kohli beats 'humidity' by enjoying ice bath after 'proper session' with RCB teammates

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli on Thursday rejuvenated and recovered by taking ice baths after enjoying another grueling session amid the humid atmosphere in the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai. Virat Kohli took to Instagram to share pictures of his training session, captioning it, "Proper session + proper humidity + great recovery @royalchallengersbangalore." In one of the pictures, the India skipper can be seen taking an ice bath after another practice session with his RCB teammates ahead of IPL 2020.

After arriving in the UAE on August 21, Virat Kohli's RCB completed their mandatory 6-day quarantine period during which players had to undergo three Covid-19 tests. After their results came out negative, RCB began training in Dubai. Virat Kohli stepped inside the practice nets after five months of lockdown and admitted that he was "very scared" ahead of his first training session this week, on Tuesday, speaking on RCB's Youtube show 'Bold Diaries', the 31-year-old said that he did not miss the game as much as he expected.

Virat Kohli will be leading RCB, who have been bolstered by the additions of Aaron Finch, Chris Morris, and Dale Steyn, in IPL 2020. RCB has not won an IPL in the 12-year history of the tournament despite reaching the final thrice. IPL 2020 was postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic and it missed the April-May window.

However, BCCI announced IPL 2020 will be held in the UAE from September 19 to November 10 after the T20 World Cup was postponed due to the pandemic. RCB has a good mix of youth and experience for IPL 2020 wherein they will be looking to end their title drought. While captain Virat Kohli holds the key, the experience of the likes of De Villiers, Aaron Finch, Dale Steyn, and Moeen Ali will come in handy as they look for a better show under a new-look support staff.
