India’s coronavirus tally crosses 18.55-lakh mark, nearly 39,000 people dead
India has recorded 52,050 new coronavirus cases with 803 deaths in the past 24 hours. India’s coronavirus tally has now crossed the 18.55-lakh mark with nearly 39,000 deaths.
According to the latest health ministry data, India now has a total of 18,55,746 coronavirus cases while the death toll is at 38,938.
The 18.55 lakh cases include 5,86,298 active coronavirus cases and 12,30,510 cured or discharged cases. The government has said the coronavirus recovery rate is over 66% in India.
India is the third-worst affected country in the world with 18.55 lakh coronavirus cases. Brazil, which is the second worst-affected country has 9 lakh more cases that India with a total tally of 27 lakh cases, according to the Johns Hopkins University Covid-19 tally.
The United States now has a total of over 47 lakh coronavirus cases with over 1.55 lakh people dead so far.
The global coronavirus death toll is at 6.92 lakh as of Tuesday morning while the numbers are on a constant rise.
