Haryana govt to open schools in July, check details here
After two months of Pan-India lockdown due to the ongoing outbreak, we are expecting some relaxation in July. With CBSE Board Exams followed by different universities' annual examinations and some major entrance tests, the Haryana government has also decided to open its schools in July. The Haryana Education Minister Karwar Pal has announced that the state government is planning to reopen the schools from July.
The schools will open according to the phases only, moreover, the state government will take feedback from parents, teachers, and experts on whether to conduct classes in two shifts to maintain social distancing.
Schools will open classes in different phases
The schools will be open the schools in different phases. Classes 10 to 12 will begin in the first phase, followed by classes 6 to 9, and in the last phase classes, 1 to 5 will begin.
“In the first phase, Classes 10-12 would be started in July, followed by Classes 6-9, and in the last phase Classes 1-5 would begin,” he said. The colleges and university classes will begin in August, the minister told PTI.
The minister further said that first, the state government will conduct demo classes in few schools to check how social distancing in classrooms works. By doing so, the state government will have an idea before taking the final decision.
Meanwhile, the Directorate School Educarion has askesd District Education Officeres to form committees to discuss the issue of reopening schools with parents, teachers, and experts, to seek their feedback and send the report by June 7, 2020.
