Gunmen attack Karachi stock exchange, four killed
Security forces killed four attackers who attempted to storm the Pakistan Stock Exchange building in Karachi on Monday, The Dawn reported. At least two civilians have been so far reported dead while multiple injuries have been confirmed, the report further added.
As per the report in Dawn, four attackers came out of their vehicle and threw grenades after which they reportedly entered the building. The gunmen attacked the building, which is in a high-security zone that also houses the head offices of many private banks, with grenades and guns, Karachi police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon told Reuters.
“The situation is still unfolding and management, with the help of security forces, is managing the security and controlling the situation,” the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) said on Twitter. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
