Google Doodle thanks doctors, nurses and medical workers with animated illustration
Google doodle on Monday thanked healthcare workers, who are at the forefront of the novel coronavirus pandemic, with an animated illustration. The doodle features a heart emoji as you hover over it and the message reads, "To all doctors, nurses and medical workers, thank you".
Healthcare workers including doctors and nurses are first responders, and are working relentlessly by putting their lives at stake to treat Covid-19 patients amid the global outbreak.
This particular illustration is part of a doodle series that Google has launched to thank emergency responders and those engaged in essential services. With today's doodle, Google thus paid tribute to healthcare workers, who play the most significant role in containing the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Google doodle, on its page, said, "As Covid-19 continues to impact communities around the world, people are coming together to help one another now more than ever. We're launching a Doodle series to recognise and honour many of those on the front lines."
Through its doodle series, Google has so far made animated illustrations to thank grocery workers, farmworkers and farmers, custodial and sanitation workers, and emergency services workers.
The novel coronavirus was first reported in China's Wuhan in December 2019 and has affected over 180 countries so far. Over one lakh people have died across the world due to Covid-19. In India, the total number of novel coronavirus cases has crossed 8,000 while the death toll is nearing 300, as of April 13.
