Google Doodle asks people to wear mask and save lives amid coronavirus pandemic
Google, on Wednesday, published an animated doodle and shared appropriate precautions that people must follow in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic. "Wear a mask. Save lives. Wear a face cover. Wash your hands. Keep a safe distance," are the basic guidelines that people must follow in order to prevent the transmission of the deadly virus.
The special Google doodle features the letters wearing face masks and maintaining a distance from each other. The Covid-19 prevention guidelines appear after you click on the Google doodle.
Apart from the aforementioned precautionary measures, several other directives were also mentioned in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
These are listed as follows.
Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.
Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
Don't touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
Stay home if you feel unwell.
If you have a fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention.
Additional information about face masks was also provided by the link that the Google Doodle page redirected to.
"Masks can help prevent the spread of the virus from the person wearing the mask to others. Masks alone do not protect against Covid-19 and should be combined with physical distancing and hand hygiene. Follow the advice provided by your local health authority," it said.
In India, coronavirus cases crossed the 19-lakh mark while the death toll has neared the 40,000-mark. Globally, there are over 18 million infections and nearly 6,90,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins tally.
