Ekta Kapoor responds to case filed against her for Sushant Singh Rajput's death: I am beyond upset
Sushant Singh Rajput died of suicide on June 14. His sudden demise left everyone shocked and in mourning. Many film and television celebs took to social media to condole his death. Producer Ekta Kapoor, who gave Sushant Singh Rajput his big TV break with Pavitra Rishta, shared an emotional post expressing her disbelief over his death.
Three days after Sushant's demise, a case has been filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha against Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan and four others in connection with Sushant's suicide in a court in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The complaint mentions that a situation was created which forced him to take the extreme step.
This has upset producer Ekta Kapoor, who gave Sushant his big break in Pavitra Rishta. She took to Instagram and wrote, "Thanku for the case for not casting sushi....when Actually I LAUNCHED HIM. I’m beyond upset at how convoluted theories can b! Pls@let family n frns mourn in peace! Truth shall@prevail. CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!!!! (sic)."
Ekta is also organising Sushant Singh Rajput's prayer meet at her residence Krishna on Thursday, June 18. Last night, Sushant's ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande was seen leaving Ekta's residence, after discussing the prayer meet.
Sushant Singh Rajput was cremated at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai, on June 15. His funeral was attended by his friends from the industry, including Kriti Sanon, Krystle D'Souza, Arjun Bijlani, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Mukesh Chhabra, Vivek Oberoi and more.
