Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain gets plasma therapy, being monitored in ICU
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain, who tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week, was administered plasma therapy at Max Hospital in Saket.
According to the official information provided by his office, Satyendar Jain will be kept under Intensive Care Unit (ICU) monitoring for 24 hours. As of now, his body temperature is normal and he does not have a fever.
The AAP leader was shifted to Max Hospital in Saket from the government-run Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital in Dilshad Garden, which has not been approved to conduct plasma therapy.
Satyendar Jain was admitted to the hospital on Monday night after he had high fever and complained of breathlessness. He was tested for the novel coronavirus infection on Wednesday, the results of which came positive.
On Friday, his health condition deteriorated as he developed pneumonia and more difficulties in breathing. He was then put on oxygen support after his lung infection increased.
The last CT scan showed that his pneumonia patch has increased despite him being on continuous oxygen support. Earlier, the Delhi government said that Satyendar Jain's health was improving.
