Delhi assembly elections to be held on February 8, results on February 11
The Election Commission has announced the election dates for the much-anticipated Delhi assembly elections. Elections in Delhi will be held on February 8 in a single phase and the results will be announced on February 11.
Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora addressed the media on Monday in New Delhi to announce the dates of Delhi assembly elections. Elections on all 70 seats in Delhi will be held on February 8.
Model Code of Conduct comes into effect in Delhi with in immediate force, announced Sunil Arora. CEO Delhi will be implementing the Model Code of Conduct.
The term of the 70-member Delhi Assembly is ending on February 22 and a new House has to be constituted before that. The last assembly elections in Delhi were held in 2015, which saw Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief sweeping the elections and winning 67 of the 70 seats.
