Congress gives adjournment notice in Lok Sabha over crisis in Kashmir over detentions
On Monday the Congress has moved an adjournment notice in Lok Sabha over the instability in Kashmir and Political detentions following the abrogations of Article 370 and scrapping of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the sources the winter session of the Parliament ,Congress has moved an adjournment motion to urgently discuss the Kashmir situation and the detentions of Political leaders like Farooq Abdullah,Mehbooba Mufti,Omar Abdullah and others.
Kashmir has been placed under an unprecedented lockdown since August 5 when Home Minister Amit Shah moved resolutions to scrap Jammu and Kashmir's special status and bifurcate the state in two Union Territories.
Shiv Sena has also given an Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok Sabha over loss of crops due to heavy rainfall in Maharashtra.
In an all-party meeting ahead of the start of the Winter Session, the Opposition had told PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah that the Kashmir situation, economic slowdown and other issues need to be discussed in the Parliament.
National Conference had raised the issue of the detention of its party chief Farooq Abdullah.
