China reports 41 new imported cases ,US seeks reports
China reported as many as 41 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, none of which it claims were transmitted locally. This comes barely a week after Chinese Premier Xi Jinping himself visited the city of Wuhan in the Hubei province to demonstrate the fall in the number of new cases coming to light from the original epicentre of COVID-19.
The United States, meanwhile, trained its guns on China with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urging his Chinese counterparts to make details of the novel coronavirus 'available to the whole world'. "The Chinese government was the first to know of this risk to the world, and that puts a special obligation to make sure that data gets to our scientists, our professionals," Secretary of State Pompeo said.
