Chandrababu Naidu writes to AP chief secretary, alleges scam in CM YS Jagan flagship housing scheme
Hours after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited his government flagship housing for the model site, the Opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu sent a letter to the chief secretary alleging a scam.
Former CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu in his letter to the Chief Secretary said, "Save the life of poor from drowning in floodwater as the site is not suitable for construction of a colony.’’
He alleged that the government in the name of housing for all is allowing construction on land which is now submitted in Godavari flood water. He also alleged Wet and Marshland being allotted to the poor under the housing scheme.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday inspected a model house constructed by housing corporation at Tadepalli in Guntur district. The State proposes to construct 30 lakh houses in 17,000 YSR Colonies across the state with 15 lakh houses each in two phases.
As part of the programme, the government would build 17,000 YSR Jagananna Colonies across the state.
The Andhra Pradesh Housing Corporation has taken up the project by starting the construction of model houses and the Chief Minister inspected the house having a living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and a verandah.
