The trailer of Chakra has been released in four languages namely, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Mohanlal, Rana Daggubati, Yash, Karthi and Arya are the celebrities who released the trailer on social media. Within an hour, the trailer has collectively clocked in lakhs of views on YouTube in multiple languages.

Directed by MS Anandan, the film features Vishal, Shraddha Srinath and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles. Srushti Dange, Manobala and Robo Shankar form the supporting cast.

Chakra's technical crew comprises of composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematographer Balasubramaniem. The film was supposed to hit the theatres on May 1 but the makers had postponed the release due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
