Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur removed from key defence panel
On Thursday Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has been removed from a key parliamentary panel a day after she described Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse as apatriot during Lok Sabha proceedings.
Not only has Pragya Thakur been axed from the consultative committee on defence. She was appointed only eight days ago-but she can’t attend BJP parliamentary party meetings during the current session either.
BJP working president Jagat Prakash Nadda condemned Pragya Thakur's remarks, and said the BJP didn't support such statements.
Sources said the BJP's disciplinary committee was likely to expel her from the party.
Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur is the MP from Bhopal.
