Arun Vijay to play the lead in Mysskin's new film
A few weeks before the lockdown, there were reports that STR aka Simbu will team up with director Mysskin for a project and that their film will go on floors in May.
However, now we hear from reliable sources that the director has decided to do another project before commencing his work on Simbu's film. Mysskin has signed on actor Arun Vijay to play the lead in his upcoming film, which is touted to be an action-thriller.
When IndiaToday.in tried reaching the director, a source close to him said, "Mysskin has already narrated the script to Arun Vijay and the latter has agreed to be a part of it. The shoot of the film is likely to begin post lockdown."
The source added that Simbu's project is very much on. "Simbu will work with Mysskin only after completing Maanadu. Since we have a lot of time, we thought on doing another film in the meantime."
Earlier, we had reported that Mysskin is in talks with Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui for a pivotal role in Simbu's film. The film is tipped to be an action entertainer on par with international standards.
Mysskin recently had a huge fall out with actor Vishal and had opted out of Thupparivaalan 2 due to budget issues.
Meanwhile, Arun Vijay has completed shooting of three of his films - Boxer, Agni Siragugal and Sinam. He is also shooting for director Arivazhagan's upcoming film, Zindabaad.
