Arivum Anbum: Kamal Haasan-Ghibran's song on coronavirus is an anthem of hope
Kamal Haasan has been actively advising people to stay indoors to fight the novel coronavirus. He is also voicing his concern for migrant workers who have lost their livelihood due to the lockdown.
Today (April 23), the actor-politician surprised his fans by releasing a music video titled Arivum Anbum, which is written and directed by him. Composed by Ghibran, the song instills a lot of hope and positivity among people in these times of despair.
Apart from Kamal, the track also features Anirudh Ravichander, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Bombay Jayashree, Shruti Haasan, Andrea Jeremiah, Mugen Rao, Sid Sriram, Devi Sri Prasad, Shankar Mahadevan and actor Siddharth.
In a recent media interaction, Kamal Haasan said that he has a lot of anger to vent and that instigated him to come up with a music video around the pandemic. He also said that this piece of music might help people, who live in dire conditions, to stay positive and calm.
The lyrics of the song talk about the need to use our heart and intelligence to battle the crisis. It also tells us that selfless love is the key to overcome any kind of obstacle that we face in life.
In a release, Ghibran said, "This song is dedicated to the new world that we all are going to live in after this pandemic is gone."
