Andrea Jeremiah to play female lead in Vetri Maaran and Suriya's film
Actress-singer Andrea Jeremiah, who is waiting for the release of Vijay's Master, is likely to pair opposite Suriya in his upcoming project, Vaadivaasal, directed by Vetri Maaran. In December 2019, popular producer Kalaipuli S Thanu surprised movie buffs by announcing that Suriya's 40th film will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vetri Maaran and he will be producing the project under his home banner, V Creations.
There we also report Suriya will be seen playing dual roles in the film and pre-production works have already begun. According to the latest report, actress Andrea Jeremiah has been approached to play one of the female leads in the film. Vetri Maaran had earlier worked with Andrea in Dhanush's Vada Chennai, and the director felt that she would be apt for the role.
Sources say that she will be seen playing the role of a villager in the film and it will be a pivotal one. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew will be made next month. The project was supposed to begin in June. However, due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the shoot got postponed.
Vaadivaasal is said to be inspired from the popular Tamil novel Vaadi Vaasal, written by writer CS Chellappa. The film is said to be based on the Jallikattu sport, practiced in Tamil Nadu. GV Prakash has been roped in to compose music for the project. Vetri Maaran will begin Vaadivaasal only in early 2021. The director has also signed a film with comedian Soori, which is based on a poem written by late lyricist Na Muthukumar. After wrapping up this film, he will begin work for his next film with Suriya.
Meanwhile, Suriya will also shoot for director Hari's upcoming film, Aruvaa, which will be produced by KE Gnanavel Raja. He is also awaiting the release of his much-anticipated film, Soorarai Pottru, on Amazon Prime Video.
On the other hand, Andrea is waiting to resume the shoot of her upcoming film, Aranmani 3, directed by Sundar C. She is also a part of a film titled Kaa.
