AIADMK leader Arjunan violates lockdown, abuses cops in Salem

Former AIADMK MLA Arjunan was caught on camera abusing policemen who stopped him at a toll plaza for violating lockdown norms.

The incident reportedly took place near at toll plaza on the Salem-Bengaluru highway on Sunday night when he was stopped by cops.

As the policemen on duty asked for an e-pass, essential to travel in a lockdown, the AIADMK leader got angry and started arguing.

Arjunan, who was still inside his car, was caught on camera verbally abusing an officer.

At one point, K Arjunan stepped out his vehicle and pushed and kicked a cop on duty.

No case has been filed by the police against the AIADMK member yet.

K Arjunan was a DMK MP in the early 1980s. He then jumped ship and joined AIADMK.

An e-pass has been made mandatory by the Tamil Nadu government for inter-district travel in the state.
