Adithyanath says Pak PM knows only Kejriwal can feed biryani to Shaheen Bagh protesters
With just a few days to go for the Delhi Assembly election, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath once again targeted his Delhi counterpart on Monday as he raised concern over statements made by Pakistani minister in 'support' of Arvind Kejriwal.
"Why a Pakistani minister is making statements in support of Arvind Kejriwal? Because he knows that only Kejriwal can feed biryani to protesters in Shaheen Bagh," the UP CM said on Monday. He was addressing a rally in Delhi's Vikaspuri.
The war of words between the BJP and AAP escalated on Sunday when the Uttar Pradesh chief minister termed the Shaheen Bagh protest a "malicious attempt to disturb peace and normal life".
The UP chief minister said in the Delhi elections, on one side there is the leadership of Narendra Modi for development and nationalism, on the other, there is the Congress and Kejriwal who "support divisive forces". "The BJP is working with zero tolerance towards terrorism. But Kejriwal is busy sponsoring and offering biryani in Shaheen Bagh," he said.
Questioning the motive of the protesters at Shaheen Bagh, Adityanath alleged, "The Shaheen Bagh protest is a pretext. They had to protest against the removal of Article 370 and construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya. We can understand their problem. Their problem is ban on Triple Talaq."
