32 Covid-19 patients discharged from Trichy govt hospital
As many as 32 patients, who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus, were on Thursday discharged after treatment from the government hospital on in Trichy.
All the 32 who were discharged will be in-home quarantine for the next 14 to 28 days, health officials said. During the 14-day home quarantine, these people are to interact with their family members and maintain a strict diet prescribed by the hospital.
Of the 32 discharged, 29 are from Trichy district while three others are from neighboring districts. The DC added that a 67-year-old COVID-19 patient was also discharged on Thursday.
Fourteen others, meanwhile, are still undergoing treatment at the hospital in Trichy.
“All 14 admitted to the hospital are in stable condition and are recovering well,” District collector S Sivarasu said on Thursday.
The youngest patient, a one-year-old, is stable and recovering well, the DC said.
The 32 patients were given a warm send-off with a basket of fruits and other healthy food to each.
